- Esther Boekweg Miller's Obituary
Esther Boekweg Miller 1918 ~ 2005
Esther Johanna Nemelka Boekweg Miller has been reunited with her husband, Paul; and son, Ron; and many others who love her. She died at the age of 86, 11 July 2005. Born 3 Nov 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the seventh child of Carl and Helene (Lucas) Nemelka.
In 1941, Esther completed service in the Central States Mission. Married to Carl Boekweg she became the mother of six children. In 1990, she married Paul Miller and spent 10 wonderful years at his side. Through much of her life, Esther was a "domestic goddess," lovingly raising her four sons and two daughters. Later, she obtained accounting skills and supported herself and family as a bookkeeper.
She loved the temples of the Lord and the eternal nature of that work. She spent countless hours researching and organizing genealogical information of her ancestors, then made sure these deceased relatives received saving ordinances. A sister, Mary; three sons, Ted, David, and "Baby" Kent; two daughters, Linda and Arlene; 30 grandchildren; and 32 great-grand-children, survives her.
Esther has looked forward to this day with great anticipation and we rejoice with her. A graveside service will be held 12 noon, Thursday, 14 July 2005 at Hillcrest Burial Park, 1005 Reiten Road Kent, WA 98031
