Lennetta Frey
SHEFFIELD
Lennetta Frey, 68, of Sheffield, died Wednesday (March 6, 1996)
at Franklin General Hospital, Hampton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Grace
Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Rulapaugh officiating. Burial
will be in Hillside Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Grarup Funeral
Home.
Lennetta Frey was born on Sept. 8, 1927, on the family farm
near Meservey, the daughter of Carl and Margaret (Gerdes) Hulsing.
She attended country school, the Sheffield School System and
graduated from Rockwell High School with the class of 1946.
On Feb. 14, 1947, she was united in marriage to Carl Frey at
the Grace Baptist Church in Sheffield. They made their home
farming in the Bradford area until moving to a farm northeast
of Rockwell in 1950. In 1962 they moved with their family to
their current farm southeast of Sheffield. Lennetta enjoyed
sewing, gardening, quilting and doing things with her grandchildren.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Sheffield where
she was involved with the Ladies White Cross, served as a Sunday
school teacher, and served on the Kitchen Committee.
She is survived by her husband, Carl, of Sheffield; one daughter,
Kathy DeFore and her husband, Don, of North Glenn, Colo.; two
sons, Ron and his wife, Ineta, of Eldora, and Daryl of West Des
Moines and his special friend, Deborah Crowley of Ankeny; three
grandchildren; one great-grandson; and four brothers, Carl Hulsing,
Myron Hulsing and Don Hulsing, all of Rockwell, and Vern Hulsing
of Mason City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant sister.
